Devin + Alanna // St. Luke’s Anglican Church Wedding // Victoria Wedding Photographer

I was so excited when Alanna initially contacted me about photographing her and Devin’s wedding as I found out we have a mutual connection from Bella Coola (my hometown). I had shot their good friend’s wedding there a few years back which you can see here. When I found out they were friends I knew automatically they would be my kind of people.  And they are.  Both Alanna and Devin are so lovely and made me feel comfortable from our initial meeting.

The wedding day itself was the perfect day.   The ladies got ready at the ever gorgeous waterfront Oak Bay Beach hotel and then were transported by limo to St. Luke’s Anglican church.  I had never shot here before and I don’t do a lot of church weddings but what a stunning venue! Afterwards we headed to Cattle Point for a few quick photos of the wedding party and bride and groom.  Their initial vision for the shots were to have them in the long grass in a field across from Cattle Point but unfortunately in the time leading up to the wedding the grass got cut. Of course since these two are so laid back we just went with it and they handled it like champs.

Here are a few photos from my time with them.  Stay tuned for their “engagement photos” which we did with Alanna’s horse about a month after the wedding (PST….THIS WAS MY FAVORITE SESSION OF THE YEAR).
