Karen & Randy Hitched!
I’m sure Karen & Randy’s first impression of me was less than, well, impressive. We had planned to meet up in the height of my wedding madness this summer. During early August any wedding photographer can relate to losing it a little. After working my other job all day I remember thinking to myself “I can’t believe I have nothing booked tonight, I can’t wait to just have a hot bath, a glass of red wine and relax for once”. Well bathing and drinking was exactly what I was doing when Randy and Karen called me to ask me where I was…..apparently I had completely forgotten that we had planned to meet in Beacon Hill park to talk about their wedding happening the following week. SERIOUSLY?!! After throwing on some clothes and thanking God that the meeting place was only a 2 minute drive from my house I proceeded to apologize profusely to these two for my tardiness. They were super polite and told me to not worry about it. I walked away from our meeting feeling like a complete fool and promising myself I was going to be extra early for their wedding. And I was.
Side note: I am never late. Like NEVER. I am that keener that is there half an hour before the extra half an hour before I am scheduled to.
Regardless of getting off on the wrong foot, Randy and Karen still trusted me to show up at their wedding. Good news – I did! And I was extra early. They arrived in a horse and carriage with a big fat “just married” signed on the back and grinning ear to ear. They had a sweet and intimate ceremony in Beacon Hill and we walked around the park for some portraits afterwards. I loved all of Karen’s thought out details like the “I Do” on the bottom of her shoes and her matching neon orange shoes and scarf. Thanks to you both for trusting in me when you really shouldn’t have and for still being so sweet. Congrats to this lovely couple!
