A Photo A Day – Day #366

I know I’m a little late posting the LAST PHOTO OF THE YEAR but I’ve been too busy reveling in my freedom. My photo a day was a lot of things. At times it was inspiring, others extremely annoying.  There were times when I wanted to quit, when I almost did quit. Did I cheat? Hell yes! But so what, it’s my challenge 🙂 

Challenging times aside, I am really glad that I stuck to the photo a day because there were a lot of good things that came from it. For one, a local coffee shop (Coffee Bar None) displayed and sold my canvas prints of which would have never been taken if I weren’t doing the photo a day. Furthermore, I sold lots of art cards made from these photos and am going to be selling more canvases and cards in a gift shop in Bella Coola.  Furthermore, I was posting my photos to my flickr account and Getty Images approached me about selling some of my images as stock photos (I even had a buyer!).  None of these things would have happened if not for this challenge and for that I am extremely grateful.  It’s also pretty cool to look back at these images because each and every one brings back a memory from 2012.
