2013 was the Best.
2013 you have been good to me. I got married to someone pretty awesome, saw family I rarely get to see more often than other years, killed it in Vegas for my 30th birthday, ATTENDED a good friend’s wedding and was reunited with old friends, took pictures of both new and old clients and their growing families, I launched my new website, shot a number of lovely weddings, was published on Style Me Pretty (insert squeal of happiness here) and traveled to Cancun for my last wedding of the year with my hubby. I saw the Mayan Ruins which has been on my bucket list, swam in a Cenote with catfish and rode around a tiny island on a golf cart while drinking Corona – the best times. Am I missing something? Probably. Because 2013 kicked ass.
It’s that time of year when I seem to think a lot about how grateful I am to have chosen this profession. For the first time I feel like I’m not lost in space, floating around aimlessly looking for a purpose. I’m drawn to photography for a reason and even though it can be a major struggle, I know that the struggle is all part of the journey. Thank you to all my old and new clients for continuing to take this journey with me and trust me with the most important events of your life. Wow. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Here’s to a healthy and happy 2014 with even greater things in store for all of us.
I’m going to end with some of my favorite images taken in 2013. I can’t wait to see what 2014 brings.
