Bella Coola Wedding Photography // Jon & Dawn
This wedding was da bomb dot com!! I used to go to high school with Jon and when he contacted me about potentially being their wedding photographer I jumped at the chance. It was one of the only weddings I photographed all year as I was on maternity leave but I just couldn’t say no to a gorgeous Bella Coola wedding with two kick ass people.
The day of was a torrential downpour. Not just a little rain, but a monsoon rain. Pretty much all day. When I showed up to start photographing the girls getting ready (and met Dawn for the first time!) I fully expected a stressed out bride or at least some mention of the terrible weather. Dawn said nothing about it. Not one word. Which is a testament to the kind of awesome person she is. She was just so happy to be marrying Jon and that was literally all that mattered. This is exactly how a wedding day is supposed to be. And a bit of rain can’t ruin a day this good. Here are a few of my favorites.
