LET’S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER!

I’m Jade – an intimate wedding and portrait photographer for easy-going, genuine and fun-seeking couples. You’ll often find me curled up with a good book snuggling my cats or at a beach with my toes in the sand. I’ve been to over 200 concerts and am a music junkie- I pretty much listen to it all but a few of my favorites are Dermot Kennedy, Ray Lamontagne and any kind of 90’s hip hop. I love travelling although it’s been a bit more challenging since having kids (!). That being said after spending over a month in Thailand recently we are definitely manifesting some more longer trips in the future!

I’m big into woo woo things – manifestation, psychic mediums, numerology and human design just to name a few. I used to watch a lot of Ghost hunter shows but now I’m too much of a baby and get so scared I can’t sleep at night 🙂

My inspiration for photography comes from all over but if I had to choose it would be a) nature and b) genuine human connection.

My Signature style

Authentic moments

My signature style: My style is timeless, classic and candid. I want you to look back on your photos in 30 years and for them to bring you right back to how you were feeling in that moment. I love the in between moments, the quirky moments and the emotive moments. I’m always on the lookout for little nuances between you and your people so that they can live on forever. As far as my editing style goes, I want your photos to be timeless and true to color, which is why I don’t use trendy presets or veer too far off how things actually appeared in the moment.

My Inspiration

Living in the Pacific Northwest and in particular, Vancouver Island, I am very inspired by nature. Most of my work is taken outdoors where I can incorporate the beauty of what surrounds us and rightfully so – we live in one of the most beautiful places in the world! I’m also very inspired by connection and am always finding new ways to draw it out of you so I can show you just how beautiful it is.

My Method

I strive to make everyone feel comfortable and relaxed in front of my camera – I understand you aren’t models! I get to know all my clients BEFORE we start working together that I can understand who you truly are and what you want out of our time together. During our time together my vibe is both letting the both of you just BE and giving you prompts and directions to get those genuine smiles out of you and interact with each other in a way that is genuine to your relationship. My relaxed approach lets you show up as yourself and make authentic memories.
