A Photo A Day – Day #257

I had the best shoot the other night.  A friend and awesome makeup artist that I frequently refer clients to wanted to do a trash the dress shoot. You don’t have to ask me twice!  I love doing dark photographs and it’s a nice change for me from the lightness and happiness of weddings. Don’t get me wrong – I love a good wedding and a happy couple but I also have a dark side and love to express it through photography. 

This photograph was actually created in the pitch black. I set my camera to a 5 second exposure and painted Kat with a flashlight I brought. It turned out really great!  Stay tuned for lots more photos from this session.
