Olympic View Golf Course Wedding // Jamie & Shauna
When Shauna first contacted me about shooting her wedding she signed off “PS I too own footsie pajamas” and I knew we were meant to be. If you have no idea what I’m talking about – check out my “about me” section. I’m obsessed with onesies. We soon met up and it turns out a love of flannel PJ’s weren’t the only thing we had in common – she works in the Insurance Industry as well and we know a few of the same people – small world! Even though Jamie wasn’t too excited to have some engagement photos done he was a good sport and succumbed to his wife-to-be’s wishes (as all men should hehe). All jokes aside this wedding was one for the books.
Over my 4 years of shooting weddings, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a groom both so excited to marry the woman of his dreams or as emotional throughout the day as Jamie was. He is really a stand-up guy and one of the nicest grooms I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Olympic View Golf Course served as a stunning backdrop for the wedding and there were some pretty great places to take the bride and groom portraits – I mean, if you like waterfalls, cool trees, big rocks and nice light of course 🙂
Jamie and Shauna – It was a complete pleasure working with both of you. I wish you a lifetime of laughs and love.
Special thanks to my girl Chelsea from Chelsea Jean Photography for helping me out on this one!

Shauna and her Dad rolled into the wedding in a golf cart because honestly, who wants to walk around in heels in their wedding day on a golf course to boot!

Shauna’s Dad gave the most wonderful and emotional speech. I think it had everyone in tears.
Then came the games. First up was the “shoe game”
And then the “blindfold the bride and have men dance promiscuously around her so she can feel their butt and guess which one is her husband” game. This was sooo funny.
PS She guessed correctly 🙂
And then it was “dance with paper bags on your heads and see who has the best moves”. Also highly entertaining.
Everyone in the band was at the wedding as a guest and the lead singer was Shauna’s Dad – how freaking awesome is that?! Even one of her bridesmaids got in on the action and she sounded amazing!
I’ll end with this photo because I just love it. Beautiful backdrop and a beautiful couple. For the win.
