Merridale Cider Wedding // Milah + Yana
This was my first Merridale Cider wedding in a few years! It was so good to be back. And hot damn, where do I even start with these two lovely ladies? In case you missed their two part engagement session, go read that first to see how much I adore them. After their wicked engagement session I wasn’t sure how their wedding was going to top it. Turns out that it did. I am a big cheerleader for everyone being their most authentic selves and these two do that very well. There was no fussing with hair or makeup. No drama or worry about how the day was going to go. They were very in the moment; enjoying each other as well as friends and family throughout the day. Almost everything about this wedding was nontraditional; just the way I like it.
At their engagement session, Milah & Yana painted a large canvas together and brought it to the wedding. They had everyone sign it as their guestbook which was a really cool and unique idea.
Instead of the “normal” walk down the isle they had their closest friends join them for a forest walk to get to the ceremony location. Once there, everyone split into groups and danced their way down; including the brides. After a short and very meaningful ceremony there were lots of congratulatory hugs and a few tears. You can really see how much impact these two have on a lot of lives and how close they are with their friends and family. We followed with pictures, bubbly and some really great food (I always know I am going to get great food at a Merridale Cider wedding).
Milah + Yana – you know how special I think you both are! Every single point of contact we had has made such an impression on me and I’m so happy to have met you both! I have no doubt our paths will cross again soon. Wishing you all the best on this next chapter and thanks for having me play a part in it 🙂
