Sumiko & Kevin – Married at Dolphins Resort

I’ve known Sumiko from almost as far back as I can remember. We are both from Bella Coola – a town where everyone knows everyone.  And everyone that knows this girl knows she has a heart of gold and is every bit as beautiful on the inside as on the outside. She wasn’t even going to hire a wedding photographer but her brother decided to hire me as his gift to her. I’m so glad it worked out and that I was there to be a part of this day. Their wedding day was the first day that I met Kevin but I can tell by the way that looks at Sumiko that this is going to be a love that lasts a lifetime.  All the best to the both of you – you deserve every single happiness in this life! 

Sumiko and Kevin opted to do a first look, which gave us more time for photos of just the two of them.  I love the emotion that can be captured during a first look.

I wasn’t scheduled to stay and take photos for the reception but I snuck into the venue before I left for the day to document some of the details.  I  loved the outdoorsy rustic feel of the details – especially the custom made wood slab for guests to sign their well wishes for the newlyweds.
