Robyn & Shawn // Parksville Wedding Photography
When I heard Robyn and Shawn were getting married at Rathtrevor campground in Parksville and were planning on handing out beer to everyone at the their recessional I knew I had to photograph their wedding. Obviously. These two are so unequivocally themselves and their genuine, laid back personalities were apparent in all the little details of their day. Robyn literally skipped through the forest into her wedding ceremony and Shawn couldn’t take his eyes off of her. Their vows were so funny, meaningful and unique and their ceremony truly was the perfect mixture of laughs and tears. The cutest little ring bearer delivered their rings on a plastic dinosaur tail which had everyone smiling. Obviously my favorite part was when every guest was handed a beer on the way out of the wedding – something I’ve truly never seen before but hope to see more of!
Immediately after the ceremony the rain hit pretty hard but we stuck it out and headed to Rathtrevor beach for some epic photos. I didn’t have to ask Robyn twice to run barefoot in the rain and mud because she was more than happy to oblige. I swear to god you guys!! When my clients are carefree and open to doing whatever it’s truly my favorite thing and it opens a space to create the most magical photos together. Some of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken came out of this wedding and I have these two and their SHEER AWESOMENESS to thank for that.
Robyn & Shawn – a huge congrats on your amazing and unique wedding and to an epic celebration of your unity in marriage! And of course thank you for welcoming me and treating me like family. I can’t wait to work with you both again in the future!!
