A Photo A Day – Day #18


I love how there always seems to be 3 degrees of separation in Victoria. Turns out this stunning bride, Jenn, is friends with my last equally stunning bride Lea (in the blog post just before this one) as they grew up in a small town in BC together.
Something I have always liked to do is make something artsy out of a picture that didn’t “turn out”. This is an out-take from a portrait session today but I kind of like it!
For this two week challenge period, Chelsea and I chose a black and white series theme. I have to admit I’ve been uninspired lately due to the craziness of life but I pulled this one out of the hat the last minute. Check out Chelsea’s post here.
Every year I forget how much I love shooting in May. It’s so green everywhere, before the summer sun dries it all out. This family + this location = gah. Just so much freaking awesomeness. Here are a few frames.
I always love shooting portraits in downtown Victoria. Our city is so beautiful and there are so many interesting murals, graffiti filled alleys and nooks and crannies to explore.
