A hypocrite gets her photo taken.
It took me so long to finally get in front of another photographer’s camera. To my credit, I have a few excuses:
1. I hate being in front of the camera
2. I’m so busy with two jobs that I barely have time to relax let alone get pictures taken
3. I hate being in front of the camera.
Yeah, I know these are PATHETIC excuses. Most people don’t like being in front of the camera – believe me, almost all my clients tell me this very thing. And I am super busy but I’m not THAT busy that I can’t make time for an hour photo session. We are all busy but we make time for things that matter.
After a little husband bribery and a few emails back and forth between the amazingly talented Sachin Khona I finally made it happen last summer. I was on my way to the Okanagan to shoot my last wedding of the year and thought it the perfect time while in Vancouver for the night to get some photos done with someone whose photography I really admired. We headed out to a great location in East Van to get a funky urban type feel we were going for. I honestly couldn’t be more happy with the photos. They are amazingly creative and just what I was hoping for. And now they are adorning our walls and they make me happy every single day.
This year, no more excuses. I will be getting in front of the camera more and more. So will my husband, he just doesn’t know it yet 🙂
