Danielle & Nate // Rustic Wedding in Cedar, BC
When I first started talking to Danielle about the possibility of shooting her wedding I was so in. Her and her fiance (now husband) had bought a house on an amazing piece of property in Cedar, BC which is just South of Nanaimo. She described the wedding as rustic and casual with their closest friends and family gathering to celebrate outdoors on their large piece of land. Thankfully they chose me as their photographer because I’m a small town girl and am a sucker for rustic weddings.
The wedding day was so much fun. Hot, but fun. Hahah. The wedding party and of course bride and groom were such troopers – we hiked in the heat through a massive field to use an old barn for the photos, of course making the guys go first to watch for any snakes. I could have shot there all day – what an amazing location. I wont’ ramble on any more but let the photos tell some of the story. Special thanks Cassidy from Nunn Other Photography for helping me out on this one – some of her great shots are included below.
The day started off with the girls leisurely getting ready at the house.
Meanwhile the boys were chilling at the motorcycle club having a few bevvies and “getting ready” as men do…..
There were some awesome entrances on motorcycles – so cool.
All eyes were on Danielle as she walked down the Isle looking like a princess straight out of a movie. Her dress was STUNNING.
The bride’s sister made this cake! It was one of the most stunning cakes I’ve ever seen – Pinterest worthy!
Milk mustaches for the win.
Danielle & Nate – I’m so excited for you and all that the future has in store. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding and welcoming me into your home so warmly. All the best!
