Goldstream Engagement Session // Kyla + Tom

It feels like a different lifetime ago that I shot this Goldstream Engagement session with Kyla and Tom!  Wow just a few things have happened since this engagement session. Back in the good ol’ days where we could hug, shake hands and SEE PEOPLE IN PERSON! Sigh.

Kyla is another two degrees of separation story for me!  Actually both her and Tom are!  So Tom works with Vince and Tom (whose engagement session you can see here and wedding is up very soon for blogging).  On top of that Kyla works with Taryn of Cake by Taryn; whom I work with all the time as she makes the most amazing wedding cakes.  It’s always nice knowing that you have something in common with people before you meet up.  But of course when we met up for coffee, we did not need anything to fill the silence. These two were super easy to get along with and chat with and I could tell right from the start we were going to get along well.

I wish I could say that these two had their most perfect dream wedding back in September as they planned BUT COVID. Unfortunately plans have changed and we are going to cross our fingers and toes their rescheduled wedding goes ahead this May!

While I sit here and wait for their wedding day which can’t come fast enough, I’ll leave you with a few favourite photos from their Goldstream Engagement session. It was so fun to wander around the forest capturing their natural connection – I absolutely love Goldstream during the fall.  There are the most massive leaves and it lends so well to those fun leaf throwing photos.  Hope you enjoy and leave these two some love in the comments 🙂
