Movember Launch Party 2011- Victoria BC

When I was asked to photograph the launch party of Movember in Victoria, BC I jumped at the chance. Not only is it for a good cause but it’s also a good time.  In case you aren’t familiar, Movember is the month formerly known as November where men and women across the globe join together to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues – specifically prostate cancer. Men grow a moustache also called a “Mo” for the month to show support for men’s health and more specifically prostate cancer. The launch party was held at the Atrium building in downtown Victoria. If you haven’t been here you should go – what a super cool, modern building!  The light was awesome for taking pictures and I’ll definitely be heading back there for a shoot.  I was a little tempted to ride up and down in the massive glass elevators but thought it may be a touch unprofessional ?? Regardless, it was still a good time watching men get their faces shaved so they can start their Mo’s with a clean shaven face.  The Gala wrap up party is taking place at Club 919 on Wednesday November 30th and I will be there photographing again – it promises to be a good party for a good cause!!
