Melissa & John’s Vintage Wedding – Parksville, BC
When Melissa’s original photographer cancelled and she asked if I was available I was stoked. I knew she would be a beautiful bride and that there would be no chance Bridezilla rearing its ugly head – she’s just too nice for that! Not to mention, what a great chance to spend a day up in Parksville, BC – I love that part of the Island. The beaches are amazing and every time I drive through I wish I had an excuse to stop.
Melissa & John got married during a beautiful ceremony at the Bayside Quality Inn in front of a quaint gazebo overlooking the beach– the perfect location for a wedding. The weather was gorgeous; the day went smoothly– all in all a stress-free and fun day.
The wedding had a vintage feel to it and I loved all the little details – the gold bird cutouts sprinkled over the tables, a vintage inspired bird cage used to store cards from guests – even the candle holders resembled bird cages! Instead of a guest book, there were cute cards that guests could write well wishes on and clip them into the “wish tree” – how cool is that? My favorite detail was the beautiful mirror with each pane containing a list of guests’ names so they knew what table they were sitting at for dinner – I LOVE funky mirrors so it was totally my style!
I tried to narrow down the pictures in this post but had a bit of a hard time…..there were just too many great pictures from this day. Hope you enjoy!
