Shaun & Kristen // Church & State Wedding Photography
Shaun and Kristen got married on one of the busiest weekends of the summer for me – August long. They were wedding #2 in two days. I don’t often book myself for double header weekends but when I do it means I really, really want to shoot both of these weddings. From our first coffee shop meeting I knew that I wanted to be a part of what promised to be the most special day. Shaun is from New Zealand and their love story is a unique one. He was visiting Canada when he met and fell for the beautiful Kristen. After he went back home, the two did what they could to communicate whenever possible and after a few visits back and forth they took the plunge and Shaun made the move to Canada to be with his future wife. When a love is powerful enough to move you that far away from your family and everything you have ever known you know that you have something worth keeping. Their wedding day was a celebration of the best kind with friends and family coming from all corners of the world to witness it. To say I was happy to be there would be an understatement.
Here are a few of my favorites from Shaun & Kristen’s gorgeous Church & State Winery wedding.
The men got ready at the Hotel Grand Pacific, where my amazing second shooter (Nicole Israel of Nicole Israel Photography) hung out with them.
Meanwhile I was enjoying the company of the ladies while finished getting ready at Kristen’s mom’s house.
Shaun & Kristen – you two have not only a love but a friendship that is clearly going to last the test of time. I’m so honoured to have been a part of your day and I will definitely never forget it. I wish you a lifetime of laughs and love.
